At Design 2 Occupy, our strength lies in our people. With over 60 years of combined experience, our skilled architectural professionals specialize in residential, commercial, and industrial developments. We are dedicated to delivering innovative, practical designs and guiding you through every step of your building journey.

We specialize in The Greater Pretoria / Tshwane area. This includes City Centre, Akasia, Sinoville, Shere, Centurion, Cullinan, Soshanguve - offices.

We are registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) and the South African institute of Architectural Technologist (SAIAT). We pride ourselves in keeping up with the latest technology by doing Continuous Professional Development and making sure we are always up to date with all processes in obtaining an occupation certificate.

Johan Pieterse

Director - Professional Architectural Technologist

Johan is a registered Architectural Technologist with over 20 years of experience in drafting plans. He holds a diploma in Civil Engineering and brings a wealth of technical expertise to every project. Specializing in new dwellings in estates with high aesthetic standards and loads of pacience with clients and estate Architects. Revit master since 2006 and making of new renderings to make sure customers are happy with their new buildings. He does design, client relations, IT support, admin, cleaning lady, garderner, ordering, coffee maker, accounting, Revit training, and fixing the printer, computers and tablets.🤣 Previously worked in construction with Stefanutti & Bressan Civils. When he's not designing and drawing plans, Johan is an avid musician - playing both the cello and violin in his spare time.

Kobus Pieterse

Professional Senior Architectural Technologist

Kobus is a Senior Proffesional Architectural Technologist with over 45years of experience in the construction industry. Former Chief Plan Examiner and building inspector for the City of Tshwane, Kobus brings expert knowledge of council processes, making project approvals smooth and stress-free. He brings a wealth of knowlage to the table and is a great mentor to the team. He has worked on projects across South Africa specializing in industrial, commercial, and residential developments.

Danie Bezuidenhout

Plan Facilitaion

Danie is our Plan facilitaor with over 10 years of experience in plan circulation and council approvals. Former Electrical engineer at Eskom and lecturer at various collages. Now retired. He brings attention to detail and follows up at the council to make the approval process as smooth as possible. He has loads of patience and great people skills. He keeps his finger on the pulse of things and keeps clients up to date with progress.

Elsa Pieterse

Director - Marketing and Social Media

Elsa is our Marketing fundi and social media leason. She adds attention to detail and makes sure our online presence is up to date. She has a great eye for design and makes sure our brand is consistent. She is also our office manager and makes sure everything runs smoothly. She is also a care giver to her autistic child that demands a lot of her time and energy. This make her a great multi-tasker and she can handle any situation with grace and patience.
